“A survey not only offers peace of mind, but could potentially save you thousands of pounds in costly repair bills in the future.” – Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors

We offer full building surveys (the Level 3: RICS Building Survey) for a huge range of houses, flats and various commercial buildings

Our surveys have included high value houses and flats, country estates such as the historic Grade I Listed Encombe Estate, flats in period and modern blocks, industrial units, offices, shops and restaurants including Goodmans in London’s Mayfair.

The decision to purchase or lease a property can be a difficult one to make and it is unwise to proceed without first taking expert advice. Failure to carefully investigate and consider the condition, construction and arrangement of a building can lead to expensive mistakes being made.

Buildings are complex, but our Chartered Building Surveyors will see and consider many things you might not be aware of, which may turn out to be very important to you. Many of our clients have enjoyed the benefit of our advice when making a decision to purchase a property and avoided problems they might not have otherwise known about.

We will consider not only the style of construction and the building’s condition, but also its arrangement, compliance with statutory requirements and other matters that may affect your ownership or occupation.

Combining professional expertise with sound commercial knowledge, our Building Surveyors are able to provide invaluable advice and assistance to a prospective purchaser or leaseholder.

We are used to working quickly to deadlines (such as for exchange of contracts), and can be a valuable source of information for you and your solicitor when perhaps negotiating purchase prices or lease terms.

Our surveys are normally for a pre-agreed fixed price which includes:

  • A full inspection of all safely accessible parts of the property by an RICS Chartered Building Surveyor
  • A detailed, bespoke written report with photographs dealing with the construction of the property, its condition, defects and significant future maintenance issues
  • Unlimited follow up advice by telephone or email on any aspect of the survey throughout the purchase process
  • Liaison with your solicitors on any issues arising. If you provide us with their details we can send them a copy of the report directly

Once instructed we make all the arrangements for you.
